Maggie Andrew is back and stronger than ever. With her latest single, "How to Sing for Money," out May 16, the alt-pop star is sharpening her pen and leaning into her cleverest guitar riffs, taking back the voice of the stars in the music industry who have it taken away entirely too often.

The alt-pop star is releasing her newest single on her own terms, but not without influence from the collaborators of her past. Maggie has watched the influence of the industry firsthand, having collaborating with trailblazers like blackbear, Ash Riser (Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul), Doc McKinney (The Weeknd, Drake), and Yeti Beats (Doja Cat, SZA). And now she's channeling that influence into a means to process her own heartbreak.

On the new song, Maggie shared, “It’s kind of funny how being an artist is mostly just singing about your misfortunes in life and people relating to them. This song is written from the perspective of speaking to someone who did you dirty, and now they’re crawling back to you because you’re famous and make cool songs. So you go ahead and teach them how to do it too.”
