Royel Otis are back and vibier than ever with their brand new single “Moody” — out now via OURNESS/Capitol Records. Packed with dreamy guitars, a killer hook, and a laid-back, late-’90s groove that feels like a hazy summer day,

Co-written by Royel Maddell and Otis Pavlovic of Royel Otis with GRAMMY-winning songwriting wizard Amy Allen and produced by hit machine Blake Slatkin (Gracie Abrams, Omar Apollo, Charli XCX ), “Moody” marks the start of a brand new era for the Aussie duo. As for what it’s about? Simply put: “It’s a song about a girl.”
To celebrate the release, Royel Otis performed two sold-out shows at the iconic Troubadour in Los Angeles earlier this week. Tickets vanished within minutes of going live, overwhelming the ticketing platform back in April. Those lucky enough to snag a spot were treated to a high-energy set featuring fan favorites and exclusive previews from the band’s upcoming sophomore album.
“Moody” also arrives alongside the announcement of Royel Otis’s Meet Me in the Car Tour, which will take the duo across North America this summer. The tour includes major festival stops at Governor’s Ball, Lollapalooza, and Outside Lands, as well as many of their own headlining dates.
