We had The Eras Tour summer. We had BRAT summer. Now Lorde is ready to make it a Lorde summer. The star teased her new era and new single with a cryptic sound shared across social media labeled as "WWT," which has gone viral across platforms. She's now unveiled that the track's official title is "What Was That" and will be released April 24 as the lead single from her highly-anticipated fourth studio album. Along with the track title, Lorde unveiled the official single artwork.

The announcement comes on the heels of Lorde's surprise appearance with Charli XCX at Coachella to perform their collaboration, "Girl so confusing" and a 3-minute voice memo in which she revealed to fans, "These are the last moments where it’s just us. Which is crazy. But so right. I’m so ready."
