Lady Gaga is back and causing mayhem in the best way. The singer has announced her seventh studio album, Mayhem, out March 7 by Streamline and Interscope Records. The announcement comes on the coattails of a jam-packed end of 2024, with Gaga having recently released her sixth studio album Harlequin as a companion to her role of Harley Quinn the box office monster Joker: Folie à Deux.

Gaga described the project as a return to her "pop roots," building upon the success and sound established on her earliest projects while “embracing a fresh and fearless artistic perspective.” Mayhem will feature 14 tracks, including preleased singles "Disease" and "Die with a Smile." A third single from the album is expected to debut alongside its music video during the Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 2.
Gaga teased the project with a countdown of all her previous albums' artwork on her site, ending with the announcement of Mayhem on January 27. Mayhem's album artwork, released in conjunction with the album title and release date, is photographed by Frank Lebon. It depicts a black and white shattered-glass-distorted black and white image of Gaga, and aligns the concept Gaga explained represents the creative direction of the album: “[it's] a shattered mirror: even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something beautiful and whole in its own new way.”
Gaga is set to headline the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April and perform at the FireAid relief concert in Los Angeles in late January. Presave/preorder MAYHEM here.
