Award-winning artist Lindsay Ell returns with her most vulnerable work yet—fence sitter, a new EP arriving October 3 via Universal Music Canada.

The project kicks off with the empowering single “magic,” co-written with Mags Duval and Teddy Reimer, and produced by Doug Schadt. Driven by a pulsing beat, the track reflects Ell’s belief in resilience and pushing through doubt.
“I always believed that if you apply yourself to something hard enough, you can make it happen,” says Ell. “‘magic’ is a reminder to believe that you just need to keep going and you’ll find those moments of joy and accomplishment.”
On fence sitter, Ell explores themes of self-trust, letting go, questioning motherhood, and reclaiming her truth—all delivered with powerful vocals, cathartic pop melodies, and her signature guitar work.
