joan Announce New Album "this won't last forever," Out September 25, Alongside New Single

Alt-pop duo joan has been teasing the phrase "this won't last forever" for months as they've rolled out singles from what fans expected to be an upcoming full-length album. The wait is finally over. The band, comprised of Alan Benjamin Thomas and Steven Rutherford, have announced their forthcoming album, this won't last forever, will be released September 25 on Photo Finish Records.

The announcement comes alongside the release of the duo's latest single, "alibi," which joins a string of previously released tracks from the album including "body language," "magic," "eyes," and "heartbodymindsoul." "alibi" marks joan's first release of the new chapter of songs after previously releasing their body language EP earlier this year. The artwork of the EP was the band's first clue to the new album, with the artwork simply stating in black letters "Sorry! We didn't have time to make artwork, we've been making an album - it's going to be called 'this won't last forever.'"

On the new album, the band shared, "By the way, we have an album coming out September 25 called this won’t last forever. It’s about actually looking up in your life and realizing that nothing lasts forever. So breathe and take in the moment. Whether good or bad, you gotta know that it won’t last. This song ["alibi"] was an important reminder of that. Hope it is to you too."
