With iconic names like Goldfinger and Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 joining forces, pop-punk fans have a lot to freak out about. The latest collaboration between the two legendary artists, "Freaking Out a Bit," is out now (July 11). The collaboration between the artists of decade-spanning bands explores themes of anxiety, digital-age burnout, and nostalgia delivered in that shimmeringly raucous trademark of Goldfinger and Blink-182.
On the new single, Goldfinger frontman John Feldmann shared, "'Freaking Out a Bit' is a song I wrote with Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus. I had the concept for a song and a chorus, and they came in and brought it to life! Mark wrote the best verses, and Travis turned the beat around in the bridge, which gave it a whole new life of its own. Those guys are some of my best friends and I love them. So grateful I got to do this song with them I’m so glad it’s finally coming out."
The partnership between Hoppus and Feldman has been a staple for both artists for the last decade, as both navigate leading major bands in the pop-punk scene while also writing and producing for their own projects as well as other artists.
Goldfinger is set to perform at the sold out Vans Warped Tour in Long Beach, CA on July 26 and 27.
