Demi Lovato is back and better than ever. Why? Because it's just not that deep anymore. Lovato has announced her ninth studio album, It's Not That Deep, which will be released October 24 via DLG Recordings and Island Records.
Lovato has been taking back her narrative ever since the release of her last album three years ago. She's done away with rock, tapped back in to dance pop, gotten married, put to bed any drama she may have had with three brothers she's notoriously been tied to, and come back with some of the best music of her career. That whole journey is documented in It's Not That Deep across it's 11 tracks, including "Fast" and "Here All Night."
On this new album, Demi shared: "With my past eras, I often wrote cathartic music about heavy topics that I needed to process. When I got back in the studio this time around, those songs just weren’t resonating anymore because I’m not in that place in life. I’m happy, I’m in love, and I just want to enjoy life and have fun. I realized it’s not that deep anymore, and that became the ethos for this album. It’s Not That Deep is meant for late nights and dancefloors, and I can’t wait for you all to dance with me.”
