Chaos, spectacle, and subversion collide in “DJesus,” the blistering new single from Magdalene that throws a match into the pop-rock status quo and watches it burn.

The track—co-written and produced by Slushpuppy (KATSEYE, Cortis, Snow Wife) alongside Dylan Harrison (ADÉLA)—thrives on tension. Abrasive, confessional, and confrontational, it blurs the boundaries between spiritual obsession and club-fueled delirium, recalling the audacious provocation of early pop disruptors while carving out something unmistakably modern.
“DJesus’ is a commentary on the cult that conservative Christianity has become in America.” Magdalene commented on the music video, “I play DJesus, a powerful being whose hypnosis is unleashed when her eyes are uncovered, leading her followers into a religious psychosis possession. Set in a Southwestern small town trailer park, DJesus leads lost and lonely souls into her devious grip.”
"Djesus" is out now.
