Lennon Stella Announces Sophomore Album 'Sleeping Lion' Out October 23
Lennon Stella is officially roaring back.

After six years away, the singer-songwriter will return with her sophomore album, Sleeping Lion, arriving October 23 via RECORDS. The new era begins this Thursday with “Unforgivable Things,” accompanied by an official music video.
While Sleeping Lion may be Stella’s second full-length album, it carries the energy of a fresh introduction. Following the release of Three. Two. One. in 2020, she stepped back from the spotlight to reconnect with herself—and rediscover what made her fall in love with creating music in the first place.
On the record, she says, “I waited long enough that people within the industry stopped caring, and the pressure went away,” Stella says. “With that came freedom, inspiration, and excitement; My true love of music returned.”
Now 27, Stella returns with sharper instincts, renewed confidence, and nothing left unsaid. Inspired by the quiet strength behind its title, Sleeping Lion explores the beautiful, complicated, and sometimes uncomfortable truths hidden within relationships.
“It was always a push for me to write freely, to put aside the part of myself that wants to make sure that everyone's going to be okay, and that's afraid of hurting people,” Stella says.
With encouragement from longtime collaborator Simon Wilcox, Stella traded caution for complete honesty, writing freely without worrying about who might recognize themselves in the lyrics. The result is her most fearless and unfiltered work yet—and a reintroduction that was well worth the wait.
