Though Julia Wolf is embarking on her first headline tour, she already commands a fiercely devoted cult following. The Twilight-core alt-rock rebel has sparked a global frenzy, and at a sold-out show at The Parish at House of Blues Anaheim, that passion was impossible to ignore.
The moment she stepped on stage, the venue erupted. Cheers crashed like waves of fire through the crowd, setting the tone for a night charged with raw energy. That electricity perfectly matched the thunderous opening of “Loser.” The bass rattled the walls as fans screamed every word: “I love you, in all the ways that count / Take a cleaver to the heart / And go to town, town, town.” Bodies surged with the music—jumping, headbanging, losing themselves in the wild pulse of the moment.
Fresh off the release of her sophomore album PRESSURE, Julia made sure to honor the fans who’ve stood by her since day one. She dedicated early tracks like “Hydra” and “Hoops” to the loyal followers who helped build her journey. The explosive cheers during those songs showed just how deeply that bond runs—an electrifying moment of mutual gratitude.
Before performing “Burning House,” Julia shared that it was the first love song she ever wrote. The room grew still, thick with emotion, as her voice carried haunting lines: “Is this who I was always supposed to be? / If I had met you before they tore down the swing set / Before all the bad things happened, before I chose my armor / Before I tried to tell them somethin' was wrong.” The song bled with a fragile ache, a tender hope that real love can heal even the deepest wounds. She opened up about her artistic evolution, describing how this album marked a conscious move toward a grittier, rock-driven sound. That shift burst into life on stage with her band by her side, as songs like “Girls,” “Limewire,” and “Sunshine State” echoed powerfully through The Parish. The crowd was electrified—fans jumping in unison, voices raised in chorus, faces glowing with pure joy.
Closing out the night was a powerhouse trio of songs, kicking off with the viral hit “Jennifer’s Body," chanting "I wish I had Jennifer's body / She eats me alive / It's okay, I know that you want her / I wish I had Jennifer's body / She fits in your life / And you know I don't want to stop her." Followed by the haunting “You’ve Lost a Lot of Blood,” and finally ending with the track that launched her into the spotlight—“In My Room.” The crowd erupted for the closer, jumping, headbanging, and even climbing onto each other’s shoulders in a frenzy of energy and emotion. It was a powerful finale that proved one thing: Julia Wolf is only just beginning, and she’s got a devoted army of fans right beside her.
