Hinder Release Seventh Studio Album, 'Back to Life'

Rock mainstays Hinder are making a powerful return with the release of their seventh studio album, Back to Life. The long-awaited project arrives just in time for a busy summer schedule that includes their second headlining tour of the year and performances at top-tier festivals like Louder Than Life, Aftershock, and Summer of '99 & Beyond.
The album nearly never saw the light of day. In 2020, the band discarded an entire album and were ready to quit writing new music altogether. Creativity had run dry, and the future of fresh material was in doubt. But then everything shifted with one song: the lead single, “Bring Me Back to Life.”
“When you’ve been writing songs for over 20 years, sometimes you run out of things to say,” confesses drummer and founding member Cody Hanson. “In life in general, it’s easy to become complacent and uninspired. That’s why ‘Bring Me Back to Life’ is such an important track, not only for the album, but for our band as a whole. After writing an entire album and then throwing it away in 2020, we had become discouraged and decided that we weren’t going to release any new music, much less an entire album. However, as soon as we wrote ‘Bring Me Back to Life,’ everything changed. Sometimes, it just takes one special song to breathe life back into a band, and this song became the catalyst for the entire album.”
Now, more than 20 years into their career, the Oklahoma City quartet delivers a dynamic range of emotionally charged rock music, from powerful anthems to reflective ballads. With Back to Life, they’re not only looking back on their legacy—they’re charging forward into what’s next.
