Bad Suns Announce Fifth Studio Album, 'Accelerator,' Out August 8

After over three years since their last full-length album, dreamy indie pop-rock band Bad Suns has announced their long-awaited return with their fifth studio album Accelerator, set to release August 8 via Epitaph Records. The band, comprised of Christo Bowman, Gavin Bennett, and Miles Morris, announced the album with a heartfelt note to fans via social media following the release of their newest song "Slow Karma."
With the announcement of the album, the band shared their full anecdote behind the journey to creating this new album and the ways in which it breathed new life into them. They shared, "It felt as if there was some kind of invisible guiding force I was in communication with at all times, whose hand I could never force, but whose guidance I could always rely upon, as long as I learned to surf the waves rather than swim against them. For a period of time prior to the creation of this album, I wasn’t sure that it could be done. Then one day, somebody whom I love dearly told me they saw my life going one of two ways: There was the path that I was currently on (spoiler: it didn’t end well) and then there was this other path down which I could rediscover gratitude and maybe even live the life I’ve always dreamed of. Suddenly, the choice became clear to me. From that day forward, I started down this new path, one step at a time, and each day the world became a little bit brighter again. Over time, the creation of this album became the driving force of my life. For that reason, it is called Accelerator. In my studio, there was a to do list which I would look at every day. Task number one: Make a classic Bad Suns album. I’m happy to report that we have done exactly that, and we can’t wait for it to soundtrack your life."
