The nostalgia of suburbia has never seemed so sweet. Following the release of a slew of singles and their gig opening up for The Maine, rising alt-pop trio Moody Joody has announced their long-awaited debut album, Plain Jane, will be released October 30 via Photo Finish Records. The album announcement comes alongside the release of their newest single, "Suburbia." The band, comprised of Kaitie Forbes, Kayla Hall, and Andrew Pacheco, has been dreaming up the concept for Plain Jane since the bands' inception in 2020.
“Plain Jane was born from a place of longing to take up space, unapologetically and boldly as a woman in the world,” co-lead vocalist/synth player Kayla Hall shared on the album. “The album takes you through a musical and deeply personal journey of the trials and tribulations of what it looks like to build a life of your own and what life looks like after you burn it all down to get there. This album is equal parts sugar and spice. Grit and glimmer. We want to give our fans a world to get lost in, to see themselves in, something that makes them feel understood.”
