Daniel Seavey Announces Long-Awaited Solo Debut, 'Second Wind'

Updated: Apr 3

For Daniel Seavey, going solo is all about getting his second chance to connect with his fans and himself through music. Seavey's long-awaited solo debut album finally has a title and a release date - the full-length project, aptly entitled Second Wind, will release March 7 via CV Entertainment and Atlantic Records. The project sees Seavey embracing the opportunity to definine his own sound and establish his place in the industry as a solo artist rather than as a part of boyband Why Don't We, who went on hiatus in 2022.

Seavey is making it clear that he knows that this chapter of his career wouldn't exist without the support of his fans and his own artistic determination. The announcement of Second Wind was teased through Daniel's website and officially announced via an Instagram post where Seavey said, "I want to than you for taking the time out of your life to care about mine." Following his stint opening for Benson Boone on the Fireworks & Rollerblades Tour last year, this new chapter is offering the singer/songwriter the opportunity to make "an album that just felt 100% like me from top to bottom," which he said is something he's "always dreamed of."

And that's not all Daniel Seavey has in store for fans. He also announced Second Wind's title track will officially be released on January 31 along with announcing that he's heading out on the Second Wind World Tour starting in March. He said, "When I created this album I built it all around the idea of my live show. I imagined the live rendition for every single song at the same time I was creating the song."
