Cafuné Are Back With New Album, 'Bite Reality,' Out September 12

Cafuné, the genre-blurring duo of Noah Yoo and Sedona Schat, return with the announcement of their next full-length project, Bite Reality, arriving September 12 through SoundOn. Known for their lush hooks and sharp emotional resonance, Cafuné take a bold turn with this record, one that trades dreamy escapism for something more jagged and immediate. Bite Reality is less an observation and more a confrontation, asking what it means to be human in an era ruled by artificial intelligence, digital facades, and curated intimacy. The album sees the band pushing back against the dissonance of modern life, choosing to meet it with unfiltered emotion and sonic grit.
To mark the announcement, Cafuné have released a new single, “e-Asphyxiation.” The track pulses with an anxious energy, marrying guitar-driven textures with electro-pop urgency. Lyrically, it stares down the psychological toll of performing for the algorithm — the endless grind of visibility, engagement, and staying relevant in a world that constantly demands your presence but rarely feels personal.
“Every time you doom-scroll, you’re letting your phone choke you out. Wake up, check the feed, feel bad about yourself – rinse and repeat. Even the ‘good stuff’ on the Internet doesn’t feel fun or sustainable anymore. The world has never seemed more connected and further apart at the same time, stuck in a cycle of ‘e-Asphyxiation.’ Why do I have to prove that I am alive online?” Cafuné say of the single.
The duo will bring Bite Reality to life this fall and connect with fans IN PERSON with their Alive Online North American headline tour with support from Crushed. Fans will have their first chance to snag tickets during the artist presale on Tuesday, June 3 at 10am local time, followed by Spotify and local presales throughout the week. General on-sale begins Friday, June 6 at 10am local.
