It’s an exciting time for BLINKs, as JISOO is set to release her highly anticipated solo debut! After achieving immense success with the global K-pop sensation BLACKPINK, JISOO will be dropping her first solo mini-album, AMORTAGE, on February 14. The album’s unique title, a fusion of "a montage of love," reflects the thematic concept of the project. The formal announcement follows a teaser video of a lie detector test posted to Instagram and YouTube earlier this month revealing the project’s release date.
The Korean popstar established her own label, Blisoo, in early 2024 following BLACKPINK’s decision to forego individual contracts with YG Entertainment. AMORTAGE will mark Jisoo’s first release on the label, and she’s already proving to be a master at building excitement over the release. The full roll out was posted on Instagram on January 31st, detailing dates for multiple album art reveals, pre-ordering, music video teasers, and more.
The upcoming AMORTAGE schedule is listed here:
The release of AMORTAGE adds to the growing list of solo projects from BLACKPINK’s members. ROSÉ released her critically acclaimed solo album Rosie in December 2024, while JENNIE is preparing for the release of Ruby on March 7, and LISA will drop her full-length debut Alter Ego on February 28. AMORTAGE follows JISOO’s 2023 singles "[ME]" and "꽃(FLOWER)," marking an exciting next step in her solo musical journey.
